This is actually part of a chorus for a song I'm writing, but I'm so fond of it I decided to make
it into something more. Also, I'm completing this at nine in the morning after a sleepless night.
I feel that my best work stems from my insomnia.

The image itself is unsettling, which, when met with the words creates an almost macabre effect. The breaking away of the words 'deeper' as though it's falling apart adds a spice of chaos into the mix, and makes me think of a sailor being dragged down into the depths so I think it's quite effective.
Regarding the words themselves- I think they are fantastic and flow into each other nicely, especially with the connotations of reaper and siren that reflect off of each other which can also be viewed in the skeleton, therefore I believe it is a strong visual image that reflect the lyrics, and the blood 'tears' imply that 'evil' can also feel pain and that sometimes it can be forgotten but there are those few who are willing to go as far as to let 'evil' hurt them just so 'evil' has an outlet (the vicious cycle of love.)
The only improvement I can think of is the background which, to me, takes away from the visual impact a little bit. The rib and shoulder parts of the skeleton are lightly shaded while the rest of the skeleton seems to get its colour from the background. This can make the skeleton a little bland compared to how the words are done and the smoke like blood in the background. I feel that if the same or similar technique (such as using black or white smoke like texture) was used along the bottom, closer to the skeleton the impact would be greater, or, perhaps a gentle colour and shading along the skeleton. I do, however, view that the texture used in the background gives a gentle grunge look adding to the visual impact.
Overall, I think this is an awesome piece and you have done a good job at conveying a message to an audience.
